Gorgeous colors and patterns! It seems to have the full range of colors found in Sugilite, which also makes it perfect to pair up with other pieces. This is a rare Richterite Sugilite, which accounts for the blu-ish hue in some lights. Sugilite’s purple color is highly sensitive to light and can appear to change depending on the light source. The stone’s color deepens and intensifies under bright light, while appearing duller in low light. This dynamic effect is caused by its manganese content and its optical property of pleochroism. Old Bell Trading Post Sterling Silver Blue Turquoise Small Navajo Ring Size 4. This amazing old Fred Harvey era Navajo Bell Trading Post sterling silver ring has a long blue turquoise stone from the Blue Diamond turquoise mine. The stone is set in a sawtooth bezel setting surrounded by a sterling silver braided rope and the entire edge is made up of a series of handcrafted unique design silver beads. The ring also has a hand-sawed split shank. This is definitely a stunning one-of-a-kind Native American ring. The inside of the band is stamped STERLING and has the Bell Trading Post hallmark. The turquoise stone measures 14.5mm long by 5.5mm wide. The ring is a rare small size 4 and weighs 3.8 grams. This lovely old Native American Bell Trading Post sterling silver and turquoise ring is in very good pre-owned condition, as shown in the photos. Has not been professionally cleaned so as not to compromise the beauty of the natural patina. Please see the photos as they are part of the description and to assess the condition. It has 9 faceted London Blue Topaz, 6 faceted purple Amethyst, and 6 faceted light green Peridot. The French scroll work in the Sterling links adds a mix of old and modern flare. This bracelet was designed by Carolyn Pollack and made in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA by skilled Native American artisans who handcraft each element of the piece. It was designed by Carolyn Pollack to be a heirloom piece that can be handed down for generations. Carolyn Pollack began her Southwest jewelry business in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA in 1975. She began her interest in design when she was a child helping her mother sew clothing. She loved the Native American stories she grew up hearing and decided to open a business for Southwest Native American jewelry to continue the legacy that she loved. She located her business in USA using Native Americans as craftsmen, manufacturing everything by hand using Native American designs and American products. She designed a stunning line of jewelry that has transcended not only the traditional western style to a timeless, refined, glamorous, and incredible fashion statement. Pollack’s company closed in 2023 due to her retirement and now QVC has taken over the jewelry line and now items are manufactured out of the country. Most of the jewelry is new in the original pouch and boxes. All items have been stored in my climate controlled smoke free home since purchasing.
