Austin Wilson (Active 1930’s-1950’s) was an important accomplished artist. Like his talented contemporaries and colleagues, Ambrose Roanhorse and Kenneth Begay, Wilson also had a distinctly Modernist design sensibility and he used his formidable mastery of traditional Navajo silversmithing techniques to create pieces with a startlingly spare and highly-refined design sensibility. Wonderful stamp work design on this rare early handmade piece. It’s is signed by the Wilson with his bow & arrow picto hallmark. This ring is roughly a size 6 and weighs 5.28 grams.
