This is a special book! I hate to use the word rare when describing a book – the term is overused. But in this case it applies. I challenge anyone to find another original copy of this book for sale anywhere in the world. Sure – you can probably find this same info online or maybe in a reprint. But there is something wonderful about having an original. Yes this volume has condition issues. But the covers, in leather, still present. The book is still perfectly readable and usable, although it needs to be handled with care. The pages are not fragile. This listing is for the book shown in the photos. This volume is now 152 years old – this is not a later reprint. This book is a fantastic reference for the historian, researcher or collector of Native American history. Read all the thousands of promises once made, and then later broken.
