This listing is for a vintage Navajo cuff bracelet made of sterling silver, turquoise, and a rarely used silver coin. This handcrafted Navajo piece has a classic design with a rarely used 1985 silver coin. The coin features a man kneeling down in a river panning for gold, with the words The American Prospector written beneath him and USA – 1985 written above. The opposite side of the coin features a flying eagle and the words, One Troy Ounce of Fine Silver. The coin itself isnt rare but, this particular coin being used in a piece of Native American jewelry is rare. A heavier gauge double shank made of solid sterling silver makes up the cuff. The shanks have a classic triangular shape with two end caps applied on the inside of each end. On each side of the cuff a single turquoise stone rests in a straight bezel between the two shanks. Twisted rope surrounds each stone over a thick bed of silver. Bright blue color hues with heavy matrixes, including shimmery pyrite, are featured within the two stones. They have a smooth satin finish and a long oval shape with the back of each one having a stamp by the Artist, J. This piece was designed to have a simple clean look, making sure the attention was directed towards the coin and two stones. Weighing in at 95 grams, this is a solid and sturdy made piece. The double shank is thicker than most pieces. A very well made piece with beautiful stones over clean silver work. Rare AAA Turquoise & Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace. Vintage FM Begay, Circa 1970s. Recently acquired through a dear friends estate, this is a Vintage (Circa 1970s) Zuni Petit Point Turquoise & Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace, finely crafted, by the renowned Native American silversmith Frances Begay. FM Begay is known for her intricate and detailed petit point stone setting techniques, and those skills truly take centerstage here. This piece features a Naja pendant with pear-shaped turquoise cabochons, accented by lasso motif trimming. Each side of the necklace is adorned with six lobed Squash Blossom motifstwelve in totalwith the center petal of each blossom bejeweled with a single turquoise stone, then further ornamented with arrays of expertly clustered pear-shaped turquoise cabochons. The necklace is stamped with F. BEGAY on the back, and 24 1/4 inches in length from clasp to clasp. There are twelve 1 3/4 inch blossoms, and the middle Naja that measures 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. This stunning piece is completed with two rows of sterling silver bench beads and a hook and eye clasp. Begay crafted this Squash Blossom Necklace in the 1970s and it has aged wonderfully. The turquoise is a beautiful blue-green color, with tones varying from dark to light. The silver is thick and very sturdy, with intricate ornamental details and a light patina, which gracefully hints at its vintage pedigree. Set with a total of 229 hand-cut natural turquoise cabochons, the crowned double row Naja and its companion Squash Blossoms will add a surefire enhancement to nearly any outfit you wish to grace with this timeless piece of art. This Vintage Squash Blossom necklace is in excellent condition, however, as always, please review the pictures carefully for cosmetic purposes and preferences.
