I have been collecting Native American jewelry basically for one reason-I love it! I believe it to be rare. It is signed Sterling and the initials CB on the back under the clamp which holds the leather pieces tight in place so the pendant will not slide up and down when you’re wearing it! At first, I thought the CB stood for Calvin Begay, but, when I researched it, it came up with Clarence Bailon, who is a wonderful Native American artist of the Santo Domingo Pueblo tribe, which are also known as Kewa Pueblo Native Americans. They are located in northern New Mexico about an hour’s drive north of Albuquerque. This bolo is really unique! The stone is absolutely fabulous. It is a really rich robins egg blue on one side of the stone and the other side it is a dark green mottled with some brown, and also a blue that looks like lapis lazuli. The clamp, clamper, or clasp, whatever it is actually called, really keeps the leather ties in place so the pendant doesn’t slip. I do not know if that particular piece is actually sterling, but everything else is!! I do not know just how old this Bolo is, but I would call it Vintage. Condition is very good! Please view all of my pictures as they serve as the better part of the description of this awesome piece!! White spots on the stone are camera glare. There is no white on the stone and the genuine leather tie is a really nice brown color. It looks a little gray in my pics! There may also be a little bit of a red reflection from the back of my red iPhone when I was taking the pictures of the Sterling back!

THIS IS A NEW OLD STOCK 90’S ERA BOLO TIE BY A UNIQUELY TALANTED FOURTH GENERATION NATIVE AMERICAN SILVERSMITH. David Yellowstone bolo ties are rare since he made very few of them as his main focus was making stunning artwork handles for bowie knives. This bolo is very rare. As it is new, in the original box and never used- what a great find. It measures 2 inches high, 1 1/2 inches across the top, 1 1/4 inches across the bottom and 3/8 inch thick. The leather tie is 38 inches long including the decorative ends that are made of stainless steel and polished desert ironwood. Material: Nickel Silver, Turquoise, Jet, Coral, Ironwood. This incredible bolo dates back to the 1940s. The intense dark green colors and swirling concentric rings are the Hallmark of valuable malachite. It does not fade and is a softer stone. This opaque, low lustre stone is cold to the touch and does not warm when held. Huge Old Vintage Museum Quality Heavy Turquoise Slab Kachina Sterling Bolo Tie?? . Listed for a short time part of my personal lifelong collection. This beautiful turquoise blue slab huge and heavy. Total weight is 153 g. Length of total bolo is 4 1/2 inches and 2 1/2 inches across at the widest point. Kachina which is hand made and sterling silver measures two and three-quarter inches long by 1 inch at its widest point. This piece is stick at a little less than a quarter inch. Back is clean with natural patina marked J and sterling underneath. Takes up a whole hand to hold. Leather is perfect, bolo is perfect with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. Bolo mechanism slide works well. This is been in my private collection for over 20 years. Beautiful bluish green turquoise with brown matrix. Thanks so much for viewing respectfully, Sherry.

You are looking at an important rare highly collectible vintage Hopi Handmade cast sterling silver 3D Buffalo head design bolo tie set with 2 beautiful turquoise stone. The bolo is handmade and signed by the famous Hopi instructor/artist JOHNNY BLUE JAY. It still has it’s natural dark patina on the silver. I added some pictures for you to see including measurements. The bolo weighs 39 grams. This is a must have piece for you Blue Jay collectors. It will make a great addition to any Native American collection.
