This is a fantastic Antique large Native American Indian Doll. This one has a real buckskin dress. This doll was made in the 19th century , It is in great condition. This is a museum caliber Native American Indian doll. We have also listed on another listing a very special beaded Native American Indian Peyote Pouch. We are not sure which tribe made it, but it had to be a tribe that has a Peyote practice in their tribe. This one is a 19th century beaded peyote pouch. We have also posted a few more vintage 19th century Native American Artifacts like a fantastic pair of 19th century Native American Children’s moccasins. They might be Sioux or Chyenne. I will say that you can go to 100 antiques shows and or Flea markets and will Not find anything Native American this special. These Children moccasins are only about 5 inches long. They came from an important Native American collection. We also listed on another listing what looks like a vintage 19th century Native American Awl case that was sewn up on top to be worn as an ornament on an Indian belt. Very Rare Native American Santee Sioux Tribe Dark Blue Trade Wool Cloth Woman’s Dress with Rows of Total of 184 (Switzerland Confoederatio Helvetica 5 Rappen) Coins Dating Late 1800’s to 1900 with Three Bands of Ribbon Trim Red, White and Pink Along The Bottom Hem and Sleeves and Arms Decorated with Various Beads and Metallic Sequin Accents with Suede Type Fabric Around Neck Ca. This is one of few Sioux Dresses We have in our collection and is currently displayed in our living room for our enjoyment. We believe this dress dates back to around 1900 and good portion of original coins were replaced at later point to replace fallen or lost coins. Additional information was provided to me by a friend and a collector who knows more about where this came from. This very rare Sioux summer dress, came from MIN. Off the SIOUX Reservation. Huge settlement of Swiss people there. The short sleeve summer dress. Believed to have been made from army blanket wool. Has the rare metal secrums with ribbon, cross decorations. Note the ribbon worn clear through, from age. Only time , and age wears silk that that. 3 to 4 generation wear. Dates back pre 1900’s. Bought off the Minnesota. Sioux Reservation by a man from Montana. Believe same reservation is still there. Condition report: as expected with an item from early 1900’s there are missing beads, some missing coins, erosion to fabric, discoloration, dirt and tear to fabric and loss to fabric.
