RARE Native American Indian Navajo necklace, by the late PHIL LORETTO. Sterling Silver necklace with Cain dangles & micro mosaic inlay work; Stones consisting of Turquoise, Coral, Mother of Pearl, Lapis, Jet and Opal, with handmade chain, beads and hook closure. Phils signature marking is on the back center inlaid piece and on the back end beads (see photos). The necklace is in good used condition: there are no missing inlaid pieces. The necklace is approximately 18 ½ inches long from end to end. Total Weight of the necklace is 43.9 grams. Please check the detailed description above for this items measurements & colors, I take my photos with a macro camera lens and it tends to make items look a little larger and lighting can distort actual colors. This listing is for a vintage handcrafted Navajo ring, made of sterling silver, turquoise, and mother of pearl. This vintage Navajo ring is a gorgeous example of flush inlay work using silver channels. The ring face has a long rectangular shape and is made with a very thick bed of silver. To the East and West of the face are long turquoise inlays. They actually sit raised off the sides of the face, and not the top. At the center of the ring a raised bezel holds tiny square inlays of turquoise and mother of pearl with silver channels running between them. The stones and channels running between them are perfectly flush and smooth to the touch as they sit slightly raised in the bezel. The turquoise portrays a rich sky blue color hue while the mother of pearl features its signature iridescent sheen. All of the inlays are in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Truly a great statement piece in mint condition. The back of the ring carries a wide sturdy band bordered on each side by twisted rope. The band is in perfect round wearable shape, with no give…. A very well made solid piece. This ring is waiting to be cherished and enjoyed for now…. And of course handed down to loved ones in the future. A lovely addition to any collection of fine Native American jewelry…. Or the perfect piece to start one! Weight – 17 Grams. Face of ring measures – 1-1/4 long by 7/8 wide, and has a depth/thickness of 1/4. Middle inlay section measures – 1-1/16 long by 1/4 wide, and sits on top of the ring face at 1/8 high. Micro inlay measures – Approx. 4mm long by 2mm wide. Raised side inlays measure – 1-1/16 long by 1/16 wide, with a thickness of just under 1/8. Band measures – 5/16 wide. Signed by Artist – YES, signed by Navajo Artist, EYE, which could be initials? Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. Later Mid-Century, 1970s +. Condition – – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stone inlays and naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own.
