This is a rare and beautiful Kachina is in mint conditions. The dramatic Water Bird Kachina symbolizes the renewal of life, wet seasons, distant travel, and wisdom. Hand-carved from aspen and fixed on a cedar pedestal, this spectacular Kachina is hand-painted down to the smallest detail and adorned with rabbit fur and deerskin. Authentic Navajo-crafted, complete with artisan’s signature and Navajo census number. This vintage Kachina Doll is 12 inches tall, 12″ wide and 8″ deep. His body is painted in copper and turquoise blue. His leather costume is beautifully detailed with hand painted feather. His head, neck, shoulders and wings have a collar of white rabbit fur.
